I have looked at many reviews. Now it is time to really answer the question. Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or what? Is that the question you are asking yourself? Have no fear I have the answer.
My name is Patrick. I have been searching for opportunities to make money online for years. Like all of you I want financial freedom and more time to enjoy life. I am not there yet by any means but I have learned a lot and I want to share that knowledge with others. As we make this journey together I hope that my articles help you avoid some of the bumps along the way. I found Wealthy Affiliate by accident and decided to give it a shot. Within one week I decided to upgrade from free to premium. I have been learning and applying those lessons ever since. My results have varied but I am still sticking with it. I decided to share this article because I wanted to give you guys a better picture of the value and drawbacks of Wealthy Affiliate.
I have seen many reviews of wealthy affiliate. Most paint it in the best light possible. No Surprise there. Of course people are going to make it sound like the greatest thing ever. They want you to pay for a membership so they get the commission. I admit I did the same thing in my first post on this site. If you want to read it I’ll link to it at the end of this post. I stand by everything I said then but I have also learned some new stuff that changed my opinion slightly. So let’s first answer the question then we can delve into the explainations.
Is Wealthy Affiliate a Scam?
Well let’s define scam first. No dictionary definitions here just plain blunt speak if you will. A scam in this context means a product or service that claims you can make lot’s of money and then hides behind upsells and never really produces what is promised.
So does Wealthy Affiliate fit that definition? Nope, it sure doesn’t. Wealthy Affiliate does not promise any specific results except to say that you can earn a very good income online if you follow their training and apply it.
They also don’t have a bunch of upsells pretty much only 2 and they aren’t neccessary but maybe useful and they really don’t push you.
Ok the question is answered now so we can all go home…. Right? Wrong! It really isn’t enough to answer that simple question you need to know why Wealthy Affiliate is legit and how you too can use it to build your online business.
What IS Wealthy Affiliate?
Simply put, Wealthy Affiliate is a one stop shop for all your affiliate marketing needs. Or so they claim. Is it really true? Not really although they have a bunch of very valuable tools at a very low price. Call them the Walmart of Affiliate marketing tools. I mean where else can you get a keyword research tool, a pretty comprehensive training course, website hosting for up to 50 websites, and a pretty nice community all for $49?
Sorry I got caught up in the tagline there for a minute. It is true however that Wealthy Affiliate offers a lot for an Affiliate. Especially one just starting out. I would not however put all your eggs in one basket as the saying goes. I encourage you to join Wealthy Affiliate yes but don’t rely solely on them. I will explain why in a minute.
Can You Really Make Money with Wealthy Affiliate?
The answer is yes. You can make money with Wealthy Affiliate. Although, it does not happen overnight. The method taught for making money is basically blog style. You build a WordPress website and fill it with content. Add affiliate links and work on building your SEO. This takes time and lots of effort. However if you can get your website built right and ranking on page one in Google then the ammount of free traffic you can get will put you into the win column in terms of affiliate sales.
There are faster ways to make money with affiliate marketing. For example Sales Funnels, Ads, and Even Youtube. That is why in my Ebook I am writing I call Wealthy Affiliate the foundation. By joining Wealthy Affiliate and setting up your website you are giving yourself a stable platform to build on. Then look for training in the other methods and Use multiple techniques. That is what you need to do to really make the kind of money that will free you from your day to day grind.
What do You Get with Wealthy Affiliate?
Well, there are two levels to Wealthy Affiliate. The first is the Starter Membership which is absolutely free. There are limitations to the starter membership which you will se in the graphic below. The second level is Premium which costs $49 per month. This gives you access to all their many tools as outlined in the same graphic below.
What don’t You Get with Wealthy Affiliate?
As I said before I believe that Wealthy Affiliate is a great foundation on which to build an Affiliate Empire. They do not however have all the tools to build this empire. One of the fastest and easiest ways to make money as an affiliate is through the use of email marketing campaigns. For that you need a Sales Funnel with a lead capture page and an email autoresponder. Wealthy Affiliate does not provide those for you. That said you can get those things on another site that I found. I’ll leave a link for my review of that site at the end of this article.
Another thing that Wealthy Affiliate does not provide is the drive to make yourself succeed. For that you have to look inside yourself. If you have that drive then you will succeed and you will understand that the key to success is multiple streams of passive income. So, while joining Wealthy Affiliate is a great step towards success it is not the only step you need to take.
Why do I recommend Wealthy Affiliate?
Well here is the nitty gritty question. Why do I recommend Wealthy Affiliate? Sure, some of the training is a bit out of date. Plus it takes a long time to really see results. However, I personally believe that the Community aspect of it, coupled with the many tools that will aid you in building your business are well worth it. You will be hard pressed to find a better foundation for your business.
The site support team responds to issues in just a few hours usually. Plus, they have one of the most stable wordpress hosting I have seen. Put that all together and you have a winning platform that can help you launch your online business and provide stability for years to come.
Is Wealthy Affiliate Worth It?
All of those previous questions lead to this big question. Is Wealthy Affiliate really worth it? The answer is most definitely yes. I was reading an answer to this question earlier today in which they stated that because you don’t get results right away and thereby have to pay $49 per month for several months that it is not worth it.
I beg to differ because think about this for a second. If you were to build a site somewhere else you would need to pay for hosting which at its cheapest is $7.99 per month per site. Then you need to find training to set it up and learn about SEO. On top of that, you need a keyword research tool and probably some other things as well. All this will add up maybe not to the $49 per month that Wealthy Affiliate costs but still with the support you get from the community and the ability to host 50 websites.
I would not only say it is worth it. I would say it is a deal and a half.
I hope that I have answered all your questions today. If not feel free to drop a comment below and I will answer it as quickly as I can. Remember in business it is not always about getting everything in one place. It is about value. I believe that Wealthy Affiliate has a lot of value. If you disagree that is fine. Trust me when I say that not everyone is going to believe in the value of Wealthy Affiliate. Your journey may lead you down another path.
I would however, encourage you to get a starter membership then decide for yourself if it is worth sticking with it. You risk nothing and even if you don’t upgrade you still get access to a ton of information. So you really have nothing to lose.
Check out the two links below. One is my first Wealthy Affiliate Review, the other is the site I was telling you about that will help with the email auto-responder and sales funnels. For now, I bid you a good day and I will see you in my next article
